Orchardton Castle is a 19th centuty Scottish Baronial style castle in the "Scotish Riviera" in southern Scotland west of Dumfries.
The 45 room castle, 17 of which are bedreooms, was renovated in 2003. It boasts a grand staircase and multiple turrets. The grounds are five acres with views over the sea towards the Lake District.
The competition requires answering a maths problem but it is not straightforward to pay for the tickets as there is no direct credit card acceptance. You will need to read the long instructions page carefully. There is a very high required number of ticket sales before the property can be given away, so some extensive marketing will be required to reach that target.
